The following information is provided to help you understand the general pre-evaluation requirements for training. We also recommend reviewing the Physical Requirements prior to registering for a training.

NOTE: All Keltic Falcon courses are five days of training and one-day assessment.

IRATA Level 1 Rope Access Technician:

This is the beginner level and all new candidates have to undertake an IRATA approved training course of a minimum of four days (we do five) followed by a one-day assessment by an independent IRATA assessor. Once this has been satisfactorily completed, the person may then be allowed to work using rope access techniques, albeit under close supervision.

IRATA Level 2 Rope Access Technician:

This course is for the experienced worker.  Level 1 technicians have to log at least 1000 working hours using rope access techniques and have worked for a minimum of one year at Level 1. They have then to undergo a minimum of four days (we do five) further training plus an assessment by an independent IRATA assessor.

IRATA Level 3 Rope Access Technician:

This is the supervisor level and requires a minimum of one year at Level 2 and a minimum of a further 1,000 working hours using rope access. Working hours have to be logged, i.e. a combined minimum total of two years and 2,000 hours at Level 1 and Level 2. A minimum of four days of further training (we do five) and then assessment by an independent IRATA assessor must be gained.
